Euro-Mediterranean event at the Haifa Film Festival

For the first time in Israel, the European leading training and networking programme EAVE will organise a workshop from 15 to 17 October 2008 at the Haifa International Film Festival in association with the Israeli Film Fund and the Israel Film and Television Producers Association.

EAVE experts, the newly appointed general secretary of EURIMAGES, Roberto Olla, Linda Beath (Ideal Filmworks, Italy), Danny Krausz (DOR Film, Austria) and EAVE Chief Executive Alan Fountain will conduct workshops on production companies’ financial, business and development strategies, financing sources for development and packages in Europe, co-production with Europe, legal aspects of co-production, packaging and development. The workshops will include Israeli/European case studies among which Restless by Amos Kollek, 2008, produced by Talia Kleinhendler and Michael Tapuah, co-produced by EAVE 1994 graduate and group leader Diana Elbaum and EAVE 2003 graduate Sébastien Delloye. An additional European co-production case study will be presented.

The workshop will culminate in Our Story: 5th International Pitching Conference, coordinated by Ruth Lev Ari and Amit Breuer on Sunday 19 October with international broadcasters, film funds directors, producers and filmmakers to be presented with a pitching session of 10 pre-selected feature and TV films for co-production at various stages of development.
